Angelina Jolie’s Son Legally Named Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s latest family addition has officially taken their surnames.

A Santa Monica court on Thursday approved Pax Thien Jolie’s name change to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, a court clerk confirms to PEOPLE.

Pax, 3, was adopted from a Vietnamese orphanage in March, joining Pitt and Jolie’s children Maddox, 5, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 1.

Because Vietnamese law makes it difficult for unmarried couples to adopt, Jolie adopted Pax on her own, but he is being raised by both her and Pitt.

In April, Jolie formally requested that the court change her new son’s name to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.

In January 2006, after Jolie made a similar request in the same court, her other adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, were officially named Jolie-Pitt.

In other Jolie news, the actress on Wednesday applauded President Bush’s call to Congress to double the funding for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief to $30 billion, which includes money to help orphans worldwide.

(Jolie serves as honorary board chair of Global Action for Children, an organization she helped launch in April.)

“We are all very grateful that the President has made this major commitment to these children,” Jolie said in a statement. “These are the world’s children, and this is the world’s responsibility, and we hope that other G-8 countries will follow his lead.”

She added, “I will continue to actively lobby on behalf of these children and encourage Congress to follow through on this commitment.”

Angelina Jolie Calls for More Funding for Orphans

Angelina Jolie has adopted three children from different countries, and now she’s taken her advocacy global. The actress, 31, appeared at a press conference in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to announce the launch of Global Action for Children, a group that raises money for orphans in developing countries. “I am here to simply ask you to think about orphaned children not as a burden but as a great opportunity,” Jolie said at the event. “Their education is an investment in our future. … They have had to work very, very hard to survive, but when they are given a chance, they grow strong, stronger than most. … The Lost Boys of Sudan are a great example.” (Jolie and Brad Pitt recently donated $100,000 to a clinic in the Sudan founded by a former Lost Boy, and Pitt executive produced a documentary about the boys, God Grew Tired of Us.) GAC, which aims to increase U.S. funding for orphans in developing countries by $2.5 billion per year, is notable because it’s non-partisan: One of the organization’s key proponents is former Republican National Committee chairman Ed Gillespie. Earlier on Thursday, Jolie and GAC executive director Jennifer Delaney met with top leaders at the State Department, including Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Dina Powell and Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes. “It went very well,” Delaney tells PEOPLE. “We talked about how there is such a growing need to help children around the world. We talked a great deal about universal education and orphans and vulnerable children, so I do think there’s some receptiveness there to this issue.” Jolie and Pitt are staunch advocates for humanitarian causes, and have spoken out on issues including the genocide in Darfur and rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. Last year, they donated $1 million to GAC.

Angelina Jolie Removes 3-Year-Old Boy from Orphanage

Actress Angelina Jolie has left an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in the company of a three-year-old boy. Officials confirmed that Jolie is planning to adopt the boy, her fourth child and the third she’s adopted.
It is expected that Jolie’s next stop is the US consulate in the country, where officials must approve the adoption before the boy can be issued with a United States passport. She was accompanied to the orphanage by her son, Maddox.

Angelina Jolie Says She’s Been Sexually Active Since Kindergarten

Angelina Jolie, already noted for sharing a lingering kiss with her brother and using knives during sex, has revealed that she has been sexually active since kindergarten. The revelation came in an interview with OK! magazine.
“I was a member of a group called the Kissy Girls. I was very sexual in kindergarten. I created a game where I would kiss the boys and give them cooties… we would make out and we would take our clothes off. I got in a lot of trouble!” Jolie said.
According to the actress that is all behind her. “It had something to do with becoming a mother. That was the biggest change in my life and made me feel complete. I learned to accept responsibility for myself, my children and my partner,” she said.

Shiloh Was Named After Jolie’s Brother

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt named their baby daughter after the actress’ brother James Haven – he has revealed. Haven claims he was originally given Shiloh – which means ‘messiah’ or ‘peaceful one’ – as a middle name by his and Jolie’s parents Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, before they switched it at the last minute. The 33 year old actor tells Grazia magazine, “At the last second, my parents gave me Haven instead. So it was very cool when Brad and Angie came to me and said: ‘We’re thinking of names and our favorite is Shiloh. We know that was your original name, so would that be OK?’. I was almost in tears – I was so honored.”
